There are a variety of funding opportunities for the sports students at the University of Bristol. The programme is open to prospective and current students that are competing at a senior, national or international level within their sport.
The Performance Squad is set up to support and develop the journey of most-talented athletes who are combining sporting excellence with their studies.

It received its royal charter in 1909, although like the University of the West of England and the University of Bath, it first started as the Merchant Venturers Navigation School in 1595. Its key predecessor institution, University College, Bristol, had been in existence since 1876.

- Annual Squad residential and events throughout the year.
- Financial support bursaries available to go towards training and competition costs (on application).

English Language Requirements:
English is the language of instruction at Simon Fraser University. All applicants, regardless of country of origin or citizenship status, will be required to demonstrate competence in the English language prior to admission.
University has a system in place to support and track your UCAS application in line with your sporting application. You can also liaise with admissions to make sure that your application for both sport and academics is considered.
