The University of Copenhagen is offering a PhD Fellowship on Restorative Outdoor Recreation in a One Health Perspective. This three-year project examines how calm nature experiences contribute to health and sustainability.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Danish master’s degree in Nature Management, Landscape Architecture, Geography, or a related field. They should have experience in GIS/PPGIS, qualitative methods, and place-based research, along with a strong interest in the relationship between people and nature.

Eligibility

- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The fellowship will be awarded in Landscape Architecture, Nature Management, or related disciplines within the Faculty of Science.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
- Hold a degree equivalent to a Danish Master’s degree (120 ECTS MSc + 180 ECTS BSc).
- Have background and experience in Nature Management, Landscape Architecture, or Geography.
- Possess skills in GIS/PPGIS, qualitative research, and place-based approaches.
- Preferably have experience in recreation ecology, biodiversity management, and outdoor recreation planning.
- Be proficient in English (knowledge of Danish is beneficial).
- Show motivation for research linking nature, health, and sustainability.
