Umeå University is providing a PhD Position in Applied Electronics with a Focus on Safe and Secure Intelligent Embedded Systems for the academic session 2024/2025.

To be admitted for studies at the third-cycle level the applicant is required to have completed a second-cycle level degree, or completed course requirements of at least 240 credits, of which at least 60 credits are at the second-cycle level, or have an equivalent education from overseas, or equivalent qualifications.

• Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:
• Must have completed a second-cycle level degree or at least 240 credits, with at least 60 credits at second-cycle level.
• Must have completed at least 120 credits in Applied Electronics or a relevant field, preferably Computer Engineering.
• Must have knowledge in Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Knowledge in Autonomous Driving and Large Language/Vision/Audio Models is advantageous.
• Must be highly motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a research team.
• Must be fluent in English, both oral and written.
