Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants from all countries are welcome to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university, focusing on causal machine learning applications in agriculture.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Hold a Master’s degree in artificial intelligence, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, environmental or agricultural science, remote sensing, or a related field.
  • Have demonstrated experience in applied machine learning, preferably with causal methods or agricultural applications.
  • Proficient in programming in Python, with experience in PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar modern machine learning libraries.
  • Experience working with big data from structured and unstructured sources.
  • Strong motivation to address global food security challenges from a low-income perspective.
  • Previous experience working or living in low- or middle-income countries, particularly Senegal, is a plus.
  • English language proficiency at C1 level is expected.
