Eligibility

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The PhD will be awarded in the area of energy transition, policy analysis, decentral flexibility, and related socio-technical systems offered by TU Delft.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Hold or be close to completing a Master’s degree in energy transition, sustainability, management, System Dynamics, or related fields (e.g., Engineering and Policy Analysis, Complex System Engineering).

    • Demonstrate a strong interest in decentral flexibility, energy communities, and market dynamics within the European energy context.

    • Have experience with or willingness to learn System Dynamics simulation modelling (e.g., Vensim, Stella).

    • Have a background in qualitative research and/or empirical survey methods.

    • Show capability to work independently and within interdisciplinary academic environments.

    • Be fluent in English, with strong writing and communication skills. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
