Radboud University is offering PhD Position in Neurocognitive Mechanisms of Learning for the academic session 2025/2026. The project examines how caregiver interactions shape learning and how early differences influence later language and social skills.

Applicants must hold a master’s degree in developmental psychology, cognitive neuroscience, cognitive science, or a related field. They should have strong motivation for interdisciplinary research, experience with quantitative data analysis (such as Matlab or Python), and ideally some background in neuroscience methods or developmental studies with infants. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are also required.

Eligibility

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The PhD position will be awarded in the area of Developmental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience under the Faculty of Social Sciences.

  • Admissible Criteria:

    • Hold an MSc in (Developmental) Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, or related field.

    • Strong motivation to conduct interdisciplinary empirical research.

    • Experience with quantitative data analysis (Matlab or Python); neuroscience techniques such as EEG are a plus.

    • Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

    • Experience in experimental developmental psychology; working with infants or families is a plus.

    • Excellent collaborative and communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
