PhD Research Fellow Positions in Fluid Mechanics of Droplet Flow on Complex Fibers, Norway

The University of Oslo is offering one or two PhD Research Fellow positions in Fluid Mechanics of Droplet Flow on Complex Fibers at the Department of Mathematics. The project focuses on understanding droplet dynamics in fibrous networks to improve water harvesting technology, with opportunities for lab work and international fieldwork in Morocco. Applicants should have a Master’s degree in mechanics, fluid mechanics, physics, or applied mathematics, strong theoretical skills, and excellent English proficiency.

To be eligible for this funding programme, all domestic and international applicants must hold a master’s degree or equivalent in mechanics, fluid mechanics, physics, or applied mathematics, with a strong theoretical background in mathematics, continuum mechanics, and fluid mechanics. They should meet the Norwegian grade requirements (Bachelor’s average C or better, Master’s average B or better, and Master’s thesis B or better) and have excellent written and oral English skills.
