Eligibility: Applicants to the PhD position must have a Master’s degree or equivalent higher education in the humanities, social sciences or cross disciplinary subjects. The applicant must have obtained the degree with an average mark of B or better within the application deadline, and applicants must master written and oral English at a high level. Scholarship Description: Telemark University College currently enrolls about 6500 students and employs about 680 employees. The university college has four faculties and the teaching and research activities are located at campuses in Bø, Notodden, Porsgrunn and Rauland. The university college administration is located at Porsgrunn.The Faculty of Arts and Sciences has a vacant position as PhD research fellow in cultural leadership from as soon as possible or January 1. 2015. The Faculty currently employs approx. 130 staff. The position is attached to the Department of Humanities and Cultural Studies and reports to the Head of Department. The place of employment is Bø Campus. It is an aim of personnel policy that the academic staff of Telemark University College should reflect the composition of the general population. It is therefore a personnel policy objective to achieve a balanced age and gender composition at the faculty and to recruit people from ethnic minority backgrounds.
