Applications are open for the PhD Scholarships EPSRC CDT in Quantum Information Science and Technologies  at the University of Sussex and the University of Bristol. This four-year fully funded program offers world-class training in quantum technologies and is open to candidates with backgrounds in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Chemistry, or Computer Science.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: UK and International candidates and 70% of scholarships reserved for UK applicants
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship supports research in Quantum Information Science and Technologies offered by the EPSRC CDT.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold at least an upper-second-class undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Chemistry, or Computer Science.
  • UK candidates include UK nationals resident in the UK for the last three years or EU nationals with pre-settled/settled status in the UK.
  • International candidates may apply but must meet additional eligibility criteria.
  • Demonstrate English language proficiency (IELTS 6.5 overall, with no section below 6.0) if applicable.
  • Applications from underrepresented groups (e.g., Black and ethnic minority candidates) are highly encouraged.
