Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Psychology with a Focus on Behavioral Genetics, Sweden

The University of Gothenburg is inviting applicants to apply for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Psychology with a focus on behavioral genetics, starting January 1, 2026. This position is part of the UGU-LIFE research program, which investigates learning capacities and behavioral development in older adults.

To be eligible for this postdoctoral position, applicants must hold a PhD (Swedish or equivalent foreign degree) at the time of the employment decision. Preference is given to candidates who obtained their PhD within the last three years. Applicants should have strong skills in statistical analysis, a solid background or interest in behavioral genetics, and experience with longitudinal data.

Eligibility

    • Applicants with previous postdoc employment at the University of Gothenburg for more than one year in a related field are not eligible.

    • Must demonstrate strong statistical analysis skills and a keen interest in behavioral genetics and lifespan development.

    • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are required.

    • Experience with longitudinal data and interdisciplinary research is an advantage.
