The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Department of Animal Biosciences, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Biotechnology/Protein Biochemistry (Spider Silk) in Uppsala. The position focuses on developing novel methods for producing and characterizing recombinant spider silk proteins. Eligibility

    • Demonstrated extensive practical experience in:

      • Protein expression in prokaryotes and/or yeasts.

      • Multiple protein purification techniques.

      • Development of recombinant protein production protocols.

      • Proficiency in at least two methods for protein characterization (e.g., SDS PAGE, CD spectroscopy, FTIR, rheology, SEC).

    • Excellent knowledge of English (C1 level in reading, writing, listening).

    • If from outside Europe and not a native English speaker, provide an official English proficiency certificate.
