- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship is awarded for research in Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on developing new diagnostic tools and joint on chip models for osteoarthritis.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- Hold a PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering or an equivalent field of research with affinity for material science and engineering.
- Have experience with photolithography, micro-milling, and/or 3D printing.
- Experience in working with organ-on-chips and imaging of these devices will be considered beneficial.
- Possess excellent analytical skills and an innate ability for solution-oriented problem solving.
- Be a team player with great communication skills.
- Demonstrable leadership potential and experience in supervising bachelor and master students.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Benefits
As a postdoctoral candidate, you will be offered a full-time (38 hours/week) position for one year. In accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities and depending on experience, the gross monthly salary for a postdoctoral employee is €3,877 plus a holiday allowance (8%), an end-year bonus (8.3% of the annual salary), and a number of additional benefits.
