Eligibility

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for the Bachelor of Nursing program offered by the University of South Australia.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
    • Be an international student of Indian origin.
    • Be commencing full-time in the Bachelor of Nursing program (IBNU).
    • Provide a written statement (500-750 words) covering:
      • Background as an international student of Indian origin.
      • Reasons for studying nursing and how the degree supports career aspirations.
      • Educational background and academic achievements.
      • Financial need and how the scholarship would alleviate financial hardship.
      • Work experience, community involvement, and extracurricular activities.
    • Submit statements from two referees as character references, with at least one from a referee not connected to the applicant’s secondary school or university.
    • Attend an interview.

How to Apply

Application Mode: Online applications open from 31 July 2024 until 25 August 2024 via my Scholarships.

Benefits

The scholarship offers up to $15,000 per recipient, paid in installments as follows:

    • $2,500 after the Study Period 2 census date.
    • $2,500 after the Study Period 5 census date.
    • Note: For 2024 only, applicants who commenced in Study Period 2 and Study Period 5 will both be considered. A payment of $5,000 will be made after the Study Period 5, 2024 census date. Ongoing payments are subject to satisfactory academic performance.
