RMIT University is offering the Centre for African Engagement (CAE) PhD Scholarships for African students to undertake research on “Understanding Electric Vehicle (EV) Consumer Behaviour and Usage Practices in Africa
To be eligible, applicants must be citizens of an African country, meet RMIT’s PhD admission requirements, and hold relevant degrees in Marketing, Social Sciences, or Public Policy. They should have strong research skills, relevant industry experience, and a demonstrated interest in sustainability, green consumer behaviour, and technology adoption in Africa.

- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for the PhD program DR203 PhD (Economics, Finance & Marketing) supporting the project “Understanding Electric Vehicle (EV) Consumer Behaviour and Usage Practices in Africa.”
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
- Meet the minimum admission requirements for a PhD program at RMIT University.
- Be a citizen of an African country.
- Hold relevant undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in fields such as Marketing, Social Sciences (Anthropology, Sociology), or Social and Public Policy.
- Demonstrate strong research and analytical skills in mixed-methods research (quantitative and qualitative).
- Show professional and/or industry experience in transportation, energy, or technology innovation management in Africa.
- Possess knowledge of sustainability, green consumer behaviour, and innovation diffusion theory.
- Have the ability to translate research findings into policy and communication strategies supporting sustainable transport in Africa.

Benefits
