Saxion Bachelor Scholarships for International Students in Netherlands, 2017

Saxion University is inviting applications for bachelor scholarships open to international students. There are four types of scholarships available: Saxion University for Saxion Talent, Saxion Holland Top Talent, Extended Saxion Talent Saxion Living Technology scholarship.

Scholarship aim is to enable and encourage academically able international students.

The university’s aim is to examine the impact of the division between further and higher education on strategies to widen participation in undergraduate education.

The student must have sufficient English language skills for the specific course. For both Bachelor and Master Courses the entry requirement is an IELTS score of 6.0 or an equivalent in another language test (TOEFL, etc.).

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing bachelor degree level at Saxion University.

Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided to learn any of the courses offered by the Saxion University for Saxion Talent, Saxion Holland Top Talent and Extended Saxion Talent Scholarship.

List of Subjects: For Saxion Living Technology scholarship the following programmes are eligible for the SLTS: Art and Technology, Art and Technology (SDP), Civil Engineering (SDP), Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Game Design & Production, Game Engineering, Business Information Technology, IT Service Management, Software Engineering, Environmental Science (SDP), Urban and Regional Planning (SDP), Urban Design (SDP), Textile Engineering & Management and Textile Engineering & Management (SDP).

Scholarship Award:-Saxion Talent Scholarship: a partial scholarship is available that will give a substantial reduction on the tuition fee.
-Saxion Holland Top Talent Scholarship: covers the tuition fee, with exception of the governmental registration fee which is approximately € 1,951.
-Saxion Living Technology Scholarship: The SLTS covers a waiver of € 10.000,- on the total package fee.
-Extended Saxion Talent Scholarship: The ESTS consists of a reduction on the tuition fee. The amount is the same as the Saxion Talent Scholarship.

Scholarship can be taken at: Netherlands

Eligibility:  Saxion Talent Scholarship: Applicant must have outstanding study results, with an average mark of 75% or higher,
-Applicant must have an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher,
-Applicant must be in or starting the admission procedure to one of Saxion’s International Bachelor Programmes as a new student in the bachelor programme,
-Applicant must be a student with a nationality from outside the EU/EEA,
-Scholarships are only awarded for programmes of at least 6-month duration,
-Scholarships are awarded for one academic year.
-This scholarship will only be granted if they receive no other scholarship.
Saxion Holland Top Talent Scholarship: Applicant must have outstanding study results, with an average mark of 75% or higher,
-Applicant must have an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher,
-Applicant must be in or starting the admission procedure to one of Saxion’s International Bachelor Programmes as a new student in the bachelor programme,
-Applicant must be a student with a nationality from outside the EU/EEA,
-Scholarships are only awarded for programmes of at least 6-month duration,
-Scholarships are awarded for one academic year.
-This scholarship will only be granted if they receive no other scholarship.
Saxion Living Technology Scholarship: To be eligible for the SLTS:
-Applicantmust have outstanding study results, with an average mark of 75% or higher,
-Applicant must have an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher,
-Applicant must be in or starting the admission procedure to one of the above mentioned international technical Bachelor Programmes as a new student in the bachelor programme,
-Applicant must be a student with a nationality from outside the EU/EEA,
-Scholarships are awarded for one academic year.
-This scholarship will only be granted if applicant receive no other scholarship.
Extended Saxion Talent Scholarship:
The Extended Saxion Talent Scholarship is a scholarship for students who have passed the first year of their bachelor program and would like to continue studying in the next study year (2nd, 3rd or 4th year) at Saxion University. A student is required to have gained at least 54 ECTS credits in one study year in order to be granted the ESTS for the September re-registration. The ESTS consists of a reduction on the tuition fee. The amount is the same as the Saxion Talent Scholarship.

Nationality: International Students can apply for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: For all Saxion pathways the following general entry requirements are necessary:
-The student must demonstrate that he/she has the ability, motivation and determination to successfully complete the course;
-The student must meet the requirements for Dutch higher education through a diploma of secondary education/high school diploma with good results, such as for Dutch students VWO, HAVO or MBO and for foreign students diplomas which are equivalent to e.g. the German Arbitur (algemeine Hochschulreife), the British GCE A-levels or (I) GCSE grades A, B or C, the French Baccalauréat, or the American High School (top stream or plus 1 year’s college);

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: The student must have sufficient English language skills for the specific course. For both Bachelor and Master Courses the entry requirement is an IELTS score of 6.0 or an equivalent in another language test (TOEFL, etc.).

Netherlands Scholarships

Supporting Material: Besides that, applicant have to submit the following documents to complete their application:
-1 copy of passport  personal data page)
-1 legalized copy of High School/Middle School diploma and grade list
-1 legalized copy of all Higher Education qualification and grade list (in English)
-Curriculum Vitae
-Proof of English language proficiency: (TOEFL, IELTS); they have to submit original documents, or legalised copies. Normal copies will not be accepted)

How to Apply: Applicant can apply for the course of their choice by completing online application form.
Saxion Talent Scholarship: The application for Bachelor course, will also count as application for the Saxion Talent Scholarship. If they meet the entry requirements, the scholarship will automatically be granted to they on a first come, first served basis. They don’t have to fill in another application form for just the scholarship. The total number of available scholarships is limited.
Extended Saxion Talent Scholarship (ESTS): Applicants will receive more information about the application procedure for the ESTS every year with their re-registration information.
