Annual TOEFL Scholarship Program for Indian Students hasbeen announced by Education Testing Services or ETS. This scholarship program is provided every year to 10 meritorious students belonging to India. To avail this scholarship program the Indian students need to boast exceptional leadership skills, academic performance and excel in English communication.
Educational Testing Services has announced to offer $70,000 as TOEFL scholarships to all exceptional Indian students this year, but the students need to have excellent academic records. This scholarship program is made available to Indian students who reside and study in India and started a graduate or undergraduate program between August 2014 and December 2015at any university or colleges listed in TOEFL Destination Search.

ETS has also announced that they will offer this scholarship to 10 meritorious Indian students to aid their educational expenses at any of 9,000 plus institutions across the world that are abide by TOEFL test.
ETS will offer 10 scholarships of $7,000 each. These scholarships will be distributed to winners of universities in early 2015. The scholarship funds can be used by the students in their academic expenses only and this scholarship will only be issued to respective students after their arrival at the campus.
The competition for this scholarship is in two diverse stages. In the first stage to become eligible the students must:
-Be a resident of India
-Enrol in a graduate or undergraduate program between August 2014 and December 2015 at any university or college that is listed in TOEFL Destination Search.
-Have a grade point average of 80 or above on 100 point scale or at least 3.0 grade point average or above on 4 point scale.
-Demonstrate proficiency in English language with valid TOEFL score
-Complete the first application by October 30, 2014
On the basis of the first stage, over hundred semi finalists will be chosen and all these semi finalists must demonstrate
-Exceptional ability to communicate in English
-Excellent extracurricular activities, chiefly in community services
-Creative ideas and thinking as reflected in their essays
Please note that the transfer students are not eligible for this scholarship in India.

If the application is short-listed as semi-finalist then they will notified by the authority and hence they need to submit additional information and details to complete their application by December 2014.
