To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must have completed their PhD within the last three years or be in the final year of their doctoral studies, with completion expected within the next 12 months. Candidates must currently reside outside of Germany and should not have prior affiliations with TUM.

- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The fellowship is open to any research topic that aligns with the work of a TUM host (Professor/Junior Fellow).
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have completed their PhD within the last three years, or will complete it within the next 12 months.
- Not be currently residing in Germany.
- Secure the support of a TUM host during the application process.
- The TUM host must co-finance 20% of the fellowship costs.

Benefits
The TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship program offers successful candidates a fellowship for 24 months. Fellows receive a monthly stipend of 2.670€ and one additional kick-off payment of 430€. Researchers residing in the Munich metropolitan area receive an additional monthly allowance of 350€. It is also possible to apply for family benefits.
