UOW / UoS Joint Dual Degree PhD Scholarship in Molecular Mechanisms of TAR DNA-binding Protein

The University of Wollongong (UOW) and University of Surrey (UoS) are offering a joint PhD scholarship focusing on the molecular mechanisms of TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43) proteinopathies. This scholarship provides a stipend of no less than AUD $34,000, indexed annually, and a fee waiver for 3.5 years.

Eligible candidates must hold a 1st class Honours or equivalent, or a Masters by Research degree, and demonstrate preparedness for doctoral research, alignment with career aims, recognition and achievements, and relevant professional experience. International candidates must meet English proficiency requirements. The purpose of the scheme is to foster international collaboration by enabling PhD students to spend time at Surrey and Wollongong, with supervisors from both institutions.
