Visiting Fellowship Program for Early Career Researchers in France

Applications are now open for the MOPGA 2026 Visiting Fellowship Program for Early Career Researchers in France. This prestigious initiative, funded by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and implemented by Campus France, offers international postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to conduct innovative research on climate change, sustainability, and environmental challenges. Successful applicants will receive a 12-month fellowship, including a monthly allowance of €2,500, an installation grant, and full health coverage.

The fellowship program is open to international researchers who do not hold French citizenship, have earned their PhD within the past five years (between December 2020 and December 2025), and have not lived in France for more than 90 days between September 12 and December 12, 2025. Applicants must propose a research project aligned with the program’s environmental and climate-related themes and secure a host laboratory in France.

  • Must have a confirmed host laboratory in France that agrees to provide scientific support and facilities.
