Walter and Eliza Hall Scholarship at University of Sydney in Australia, 2014

University of Sydney is offering Walter & Eliza Hall Scholarship for Australian students. The value of each scholarship is $6,000 for a period of one year. The following types of scholarships are available: Scholarship in Nursing for Undergraduate Nursing or Master of Nursing students who have completed at least 48 credit points in their degree program at the University of Sydney, Scholarship for Students Studying Special Needs, Scholarship in Social Work for students who have completed at least 48 credit points in their degree program at the University of Sydney and Scholarship for a student with a physical disability who have successfully completed their first year and/or second year of study in any area. The application deadline is 27 March 2014.

Eligibility:
-Scholarship in Nursing: Undergraduate Nursing or Master of Nursing students who have completed at least 48 credit points in their degree program at the University of Sydney. Applicants should be in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit and be in full-time study in a Commonwealth Supported Place.
-Scholarship for Students Studying Special Needs: Undergraduate Education students who have completed at least 48 credit points in their degree program at the University of Sydney who wish to study in the area of Special Needs Education. Applicants should be in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit and be in full-time study in a Commonwealth Supported Place.
-Scholarship in Social Work: Undergraduate Social Work students who have completed at least 48 credit points in their degree program at the University of Sydney. Applicants should be in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit and be in full-time study in a Commonwealth Supported Place.
-Scholarship for a student with a physical disability: Students who have successfully completed their first year and/or second year of study in any area. Applicants should be in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit and have a physical disability (formal diagnosis). Students should also be studying a minimum of two subjects per semester.

Scholarship Description: The Walter and Eliza Hall Scholarships were established in 2008 from the Walter and Eliza Hall Trust. The Scholarships were established to ensure that the absence of money does not stand in the way of a selected person’s ability to achieve their maximum potential, in terms of a formal tertiary education. The following types of scholarships are available: Scholarship in Nursing, Scholarship for Students Studying Special Needs, Scholarship in Social Work and Scholarship for a student with a physical disability.
