Windle Trust International Master’s Scholarships in UK

Applications are now open for the Windle Trust International Master’s Scholarships for refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) currently residing in Sudan, South Sudan, and Uganda. The scholarships support postgraduate study in any subject at UK universities, with the goal of empowering individuals to contribute to their communities.

To be eligible for the funding programme, applicants must be refugees or internally displaced persons (IDPs) currently residing in Sudan, South Sudan, or Uganda. They must meet the organization’s standard postgraduate program criteria and hold official documentation confirming their refugee or IDP status.

Windle Trust International is a UK-based charitable organization dedicated to expanding access to education for refugees, displaced people, and conflict-affected communities in Africa. Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants must be legally residing as Refugees or Internally Displaced Persons in Sudan, South Sudan, or Uganda

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject area offered by participating UK universities, with preference for courses that help recipients support their communities

  • Admissible Criteria:

    • Must meet Windle Trust International’s usual Postgraduate Programme Eligibility Criteria

    • Must hold official Refugee or IDP status

    • Must be willing to attend an interview if shortlisted (in-person or online)

    • Must be prepared to pursue postgraduate study in the UK in 2026

  • Submit all required documents during the application window

  • Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews to be held 26th June – 8th July 2025
