The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is organizing an essay competition for graduate and postgraduate students in Uzbekistan.

The topic of the essay is “Uzbekistan pathways to inclusive development”. The competition forms part of ADB’s 50th-anniversary celebrations.

ADB, based in Manila, is dedicated to reducing poverty in Asia and the Pacific through inclusive economic growth, environmentally sustainable growth, and regional integration. Established in 1966, ADB in December 2016 will mark 50 years of development partnership in Asia. It is owned by 67 members – 48 from the region. In 2015, ADB assistance totalled $27.2 billion, including confining of $10.7 billion.

Eligibility

Students currently studying in graduate or postgraduate level at any educational institution in Uzbekistan can participate in the competition, with each participant submitting only one entry.

How to Apply: Entries must be sent to adburm-at-adb.org(link sends e-mail). Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.

Benefits: The first prize for the competition is $300, while the second and third prize winners will get $200 and $100, respectively.
