The Daewoo Corporation is offering Daewoo Vietnam scholarship for 2017 academic year. The Vietnamese graduate students are eligible to apply for master and doctoral studies at George Washington University, USA.

The purpose is to help promising Vietnamese graduate students to pursue advanced degrees in the School of Business at the George Washington University.

The Office of Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships (OGSAF) website is designed to educate graduate students at the George Washington University about funding opportunities at the Master’s and PhD levels.

Course Level: The scholarship is offered for pursuing master and doctoral studies.

Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided in accountancy, finance, information systems, international business, supply chain management, marketing, and science technology and innovation within the School of Business.

Scholarship Award: The Daewoo Corporation established an endowment at GW to offer scholarships of up to $10,000 (fees excluded) for the period of one academic year, renewable. Renewal applications may be submitted to renew the Scholarships for one to four additional years, depending upon the program of study.

Eligibility:

  • All recipients must be full-time Master’s or doctoral students (applicants or current students) at the George Washington University and demonstrate high scholastic achievement by maintaining required academic averages for their programs of studies.
  • Eligible fields of study include accountancy, finance, information systems, international business, supply chain management, marketing, and science technology and innovation. (Executive Education programs are not eligbile.) Incoming students must have passed the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 600 on the paper-based exam or 100 on the internet based exam, or an IELTS overall band score of 7.0 (with no individual band below 6.0).
  • To ensure that recipients return to Vietnam and contribute to the further development of their nation’s growth following the receipt of their degree, a F-1 visa is required.
  • Students working in a benefited position at GW are not eligible.

Nationality: Vietnamese students can apply for the scholarship.

English Language Requirements: Incoming students must have passed the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 600 on the paper-based exam or 100 on the internet based exam, or an IELTS overall band score of 7.0 (with no individual band below 6.0).

How to Apply: All application materials must be submitted via the online fellowships application portal by the deadline.
