Development Scholarships for Vietnamese in Czech Republic

Eligible Students: Applications for these scholarships are open to all students from developing countries and/or countries going through a process of political and economic transition, who are applying for study in one of our Bachelor’s studies or Master’s studies programmes at Charles University Faculty of Social Sciences from academic year 2016/17.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing Bachelor’s studies or Master’s studies programmes at Vietnamese students.
Award Details: Under the terms of this scholarship, students will receive a waiver of school fees for their first semester of study, plus a one-off payment of 50 000 CZK (about 2050 EUR) as a contribution towards living costs.
School fees for the second semester of study will not be waived.

NEF Research Grant Programme for Vietnamese in Asia-Pacific Region
Scholarship Provider: Nagao Natural Environment Foundation, Japan
Eligible Students: Student must be a national of developing country in the Asia-Pacific region who works full-time or is enrolled in a doctoral course, conducting research at a research institution or relevant organization in his/her home country (those who work and/or study abroad are ineligible.);
Course: The NEF Research Grant Programme supports academic and scientific research.
Award Details: The maximum grant size in this programme is 500,000 Japanese yen per project for a maximum duration of two year.

DAAD Scholarships for Vietnamese at Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand, 2017

Eligible Students: Be a bonafide national of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar or Vietnam.
Applicants should be not more than 28 years of age when applying.
Course: Pursue Master’s degree
Award Details: Each scholarship award covers tuition and other academic fees, and living allowances for a 22-month program. The scholarship’s value is 24.837 EURO (~THB 937,800) per scholarship holder, divided in 12.723 EURO (nearly THB 480,400) for the first year of studies (12 months); renewable for the second year depending on satisfactory academic performance at 12.114 EURO (nearly THB 457,400) for the second and last year (10 months).

Alpha wood Scholarships for Vietnamese Students at SOAS in UK
Scholarship Provider: SOAS, University of London, UK
Eligible Students: Students must normally be resident in one of the following countries: Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar/Burma, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam. Applications will be considered from candidates who are not normally resident in these countries as long as they can show their intention and capacity to return or relocate to the region to pursue teaching or further study or otherwise intend to make a positive impact in the Southeast Asian region.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate taught or research program at SOAS, University of London.
Award Details: The Alpha wood Scholarship will cover tuition fees in full, and a generous maintenance allowance towards the costs of living and studying in central London, as well as flights to and from the UK at the start and end of the course. Visa costs will also be covered. The maintenance allowance will be provided in line with the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) guidelines for London (Doctoral) and will be calculated pro-rata for programmes of less than a year. It is expected to cover the cost of accommodation.

Eligible Students: Students must have a demonstrable record of high achievement, and must show evidence of outstanding potential for professional advancement, and significant impact in their chosen field.
Course: It is a yearlong fellowship program involving intensive learning modules-short courses, conferences and study tours in Asia and the USA

DAAD Master Scholarships for Vietnames Students and Good Governance
Scholarship Provider: DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), Germany
Eligible Students: Very well qualified graduates with a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) who in the future want to actively contribute to the social and economic development of their home countries.
Course: Scholarships are for Master courses at a German institution of higher education. Before taking up Master studies the scholarship holders will be placed on German courses for normally 6 months (this also applies to scholarship holders in Master courses taught in English).
Award Details: DAAD pays a monthly scholarship rate of currently 750 €. The scholarship also includes contributions to health insurance in Germany. In addition, DAAD grants an appropriate travel allowance as well as a study and research subsidy and in applicable cases rent subsidies and / or family allowances. DAAD-scholarship holders are exempt from tuition fees.

Eligible Students: College graduate with at least a Bachelor’s degree in a field of science or technology (S&T) or college juniors (3rd or 4th year) or seniors (final year students) pursuing a degree in S&T; no working experience required.
Course: Fellowships are available for pursuing a research-based doctoral degree such as a PhD or an Sc.D., or a Master’s degree at leading universities in the United States.
Award Details: During the Fellow’s first and second years of study at the U.S. University, VEF provides an annual grant of $27,000, paid directly to the University, to help support each VEF Fellow. VEF will provide each Fellow a total of $2,000 in PDG funds during their entire program of study. VEF will provide a $500 Settling-In Allowance to the Fellow through the University in the first year.

Eligible Students:  Applicants must be Vietnamese nationals who hold a Ph.D., a D.Sc., an M.D., or another research-based doctoral degree in a field supported by VEF and who are affiliated full-time with a Vietnamese university. M.D. recipients, who apply must verify that their U.S. host institution can accommodate their study or practice in the United States.

Eligible Students: This scholarship is only for international, full fee-paying, non-sponsored students from selected countries commencing studies at Curtin’s Western Australia campuses in 2016
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programme at the Curtin University.
Award Details: This scholarship provides eligible students 25% of their first-year tuition fee, up to a maximum of AUD$10,000.

International Development Scholarship at RMIT University for Vietnamese Students

Eligible Students:  In order to apply for scholarship, student must be a citizen of the Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia or Vietnam.
Course: Scholarship is available for an undergraduate or postgraduate program commencing in 2016.
Award Details: The scholarship will comprise AU$5000 as a one-off payment towards tuition fees.

Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP) for Vietnamese Students
Scholarship Provider: Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation
Eligible Students: The NFP is meant for professionals who are nationals of and work and live in one of the 51 NFP countries. Candidates have to be nominated by their employer to be eligible for the fellowship. There also has to be a clear need for training within the context of the organization.
Course: Fellowships are available for masters degree programmes, short courses and PhD Studies at a Dutch higher education institution which offers the NFP-qualified course.
Award Details: An NFP fellowship is intended to supplement the salary that the fellow should continue to receive during the study period. The allowance is a contribution towards the costs of living, the costs of tuition fees, visas, travel, insurance and thesis research. If applicable, the fellowship holder is expected to cover the difference between the actual costs and the amount of the personal NFP allowances.

Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for Vietnamese Students
Scholarship Provider: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)
Eligible Students: Applicants, in principle, must have graduated from an upper secondary school. Applicants must be willing to learn Japanese.
Course: Scholarships are available to study at a Japanese college of technology. A graduated grantee will be awarded a diploma and an associate degree.
Award Details: Scholarships include allowances, travel costs, tuition fees and other costs.
