Development Scholarships for Vietnamese in Czech Republic

Eligible Students: Applications for these scholarships are open to all students from developing countries and/or countries going through a process of political and economic transition, who are applying for study in one of our Bachelor’s studies or Master’s studies programmes at Charles University Faculty of Social Sciences from academic year 2016/17.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing Bachelor’s studies or Master’s studies programmes at Vietnamese students.
Award Details: Under the terms of this scholarship, students will receive a waiver of school fees for their first semester of study, plus a one-off payment of 50 000 CZK (about 2050 EUR) as a contribution towards living costs.

Eligible Students: Student must be a national of developing country in the Asia-Pacific region who works full-time or is enrolled in a doctoral course, conducting research at a research institution or relevant organization in his/her home country (those who work and/or study abroad are ineligible.);
Course: The NEF Research Grant Programme supports academic and scientific research.
Award Details: The maximum grant size in this programme is 500,000 Japanese yen per project for a maximum duration of two year.

DAAD Scholarships for Vietnamese at Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand, 2017

Award Details: Each scholarship award covers tuition and other academic fees, and living allowances for a 22-month program. Alpha wood Scholarships for Vietnamese Students at SOAS in UK
Scholarship Provider: SOAS, University of London, UK
Eligible Students: Students must normally be resident in one of the following countries: Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar/Burma, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam. Applications will be considered from candidates who are not normally resident in these countries as long as they can show their intention and capacity to return or relocate to the region to pursue teaching or further study or otherwise intend to make a positive impact in the Southeast Asian region.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate taught or research program at SOAS, University of London.
Award Details: The Alpha wood Scholarship will cover tuition fees in full, and a generous maintenance allowance towards the costs of living and studying in central London, as well as flights to and from the UK at the start and end of the course. Visa costs will also be covered. The maintenance allowance will be provided in line with the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) guidelines for London (Doctoral) and will be calculated pro-rata for programmes of less than a year. It is expected to cover the cost of accommodation.

DAAD Master Scholarships for Vietnames Students and Good Governance
Scholarship Provider: DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), Germany
Eligible Students: Very well qualified graduates with a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) who in the future want to actively contribute to the social and economic development of their home countries.
Course: Scholarships are for Master courses at a German institution of higher education. Before taking up Master studies the scholarship holders will be placed on German courses for normally 6 months (this also applies to scholarship holders in Master courses taught in English).
Award Details: DAAD pays a monthly scholarship rate of currently 750 €. The scholarship also includes contributions to health insurance in Germany. In addition, DAAD grants an appropriate travel allowance as well as a study and research subsidy and in applicable cases rent subsidies and / or family allowances. DAAD-scholarship holders are exempt from tuition fees.

Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP) for Vietnamese Students
Scholarship Provider: Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation
Eligible Students: The NFP is meant for professionals who are nationals of and work and live in one of the 51 NFP countries. Candidates have to be nominated by their employer to be eligible for the fellowship. There also has to be a clear need for training within the context of the organization.
Course: Fellowships are available for masters degree programmes, short courses and PhD Studies at a Dutch higher education institution which offers the NFP-qualified course.
Award Details: An NFP fellowship is intended to supplement the salary that the fellow should continue to receive during the study period. The allowance is a contribution towards the costs of living, the costs of tuition fees, visas, travel, insurance and thesis research. If applicable, the fellowship holder is expected to cover the difference between the actual costs and the amount of the personal NFP allowances.

Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for Vietnamese Students
Scholarship Provider: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)
Eligible Students: Applicants, in principle, must have graduated from an upper secondary school. Applicants must be willing to learn Japanese.
Course: Scholarships are available to study at a Japanese college of technology. A graduated grantee will be awarded a diploma and an associate degree.
Award Details: Scholarships include allowances, travel costs, tuition fees and other costs.
