Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship Program
MCC’s Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship Program is funded by Finger Lakes WIRED, one of several regions funded by the United States Department of Labor Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) Initiative. Launched in November 2005, WIRED stresses the critical role that talent development plays in creating effective regional economic development strategies.
Monroe Community College is recruiting applicants for its new Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship Program. This scholarship program-which covers tuition, fees and books-gives aspiring entrepreneurs the tools they need to start and manage their own small businesses.
Registration for the Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship Program is separate from MCC’s standard enrollment procedure. Candidates must complete an application and an essay by the August 11 deadline. The application process also includes an interview. Thirty participants will be chosen to participate in the Fall 2008 semester, which begins on Sept. 2 and runs through Dec. 18. I graduated from Bahar Dar polytechnic Institute with adiploma in Agromechanics on the year 1981,which is equivalent to 12+2.After graduation I have served my country at different levels and now reached a monthly salary of $275 only.Since then I have tried to continue my education but interupted it a number of times due to financial constraint.Not long ego I joined the Alpha University College completed 18 Crs. in buisness Management and can not proceed due to the problem stated earlier.I am married and is father of a four year old son.It has become very difficult to live let alone afford for my studies.Hence, I kindly request you to support me, so that I can continue the education that I am lusting for.

My name is abba achi edgard from ivory coast.I frequent to the classical secondary school of Abidjan,in terminal D,the best fouth secondary school of Abidjan,with of better results in hight school diploma,Because the level of teaching is strict and hard.
I’m well enough in ours subjects,so polyvalant.But,check especially in mathematics and physics with 12 average by quarter since the class of second C.
I need this scholarship,because at first,in ivory coast,there are a single public university in abidjan,which contains students over much,besides teachers are on strike repeated each year.So,the students with diploms stay without jobs,perhaps because of old persons refusing retire.It’s very hard to get a real diplom because of corruption.However,these students are obliged to exercise profession pitiful for starvation wages.
Finally,i want this scholarship to be able to help my familly while i’ll get job,because,i’m the one who made a sucess in studies.I believe that it’s the real big luck which you offer me,so i’ve now 20 years old,because of lack of financial.I start shool so late at 7.
