The Geodetic Engineering Laboratory (http://topo.epfl.ch) is a research group of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. The research objective of the laboratory is to contribute significantly to the development of innovative navigation and positioning systems. Research topics are in the areas of pedestrian navigation (multi-sensors systems, Ultra Wide Band Positioning, map matching) and helicopter borne mapping (Direct georeferencing, sensor integration & calibration, laserscanning).

– Enrolment into the EPFL doctoral school program (http://phd.epfl.ch/)
– Participation in research activities in pedestrian navigation
– Involvement in Swiss and European research projects
– Supervision of semester projects of students (BS and MS students)
– Participation as assistant in geomatics courses (topography, positioning)

– MS degree in geomatics engineering or electrical engineering with a background in computer science
