Kindly afford me the opportunity to introduce myself, I am Laura-Jarbah Gbotoe, married with one kid, 29 years of age, and a Liberian Citizen but currently residing in South Africa in pursuit of my tertiary education at the THUTO BOPHELO NURSING ACADEMY. About couple of years ago my country was plunged into almost two decade of civil war, which left about a quarter of a million[1] of people dead. This devastation and destruction caused immerse suffering and hardship among the populace of Liberia. To which I was not an exception, my family and I spent about 14 years at the Liberian Refugee camp in Ghana.
In 2007, a philanthropist awarded me a scholarship to pursue my dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. But due to the current economic crises my sponsor lost his job and subsequently terminating my scholarship, as he can no longer afford. In this regard I am pleading with your noble office to afford me with any assistance or any financial means that would aid me continue my studies. May I kindly mention that I would be willing and grateful to paying back any assistance in the form edu-loan to this effect.
I remind at your deposal to answering any question and as well provide genuine documentation to authenticate my claims mentioned herein. It is my prayer therefore that this letter would earn your acceptance.

What would be the criteria for the scholarships?
I am intenting to study Computer Science (Undergraduate), but we are not taught any core computer science elements here in Nepal till high school except the basic level knowledge and an introduction to programming (C). But as I have some free time, I would like to know the subject matters that I need to be familiar with before appearing in the scholarship test(if there is going to be any) and the minimun knowledge in computer science (and math and any other subject) I need to have before enrolling in the course so that I can cover what I missed.
