PhD Position Goethe University Frankfurt Germany: The Leibniz Unit at the Centre for Molecular Medicine, Goethe University Frankfurt, has an open position for a PhD student who has been trained in biology, biomedicine, chemistry, biochemistry, bio-engeneering, pharmacy, veterinary science and medicine. Your research will be situated within the context of ongoing projects, and offers the opportunity of multidisciplinary and interactive research, including opportunity for own input and creativity. All projects are situated in the highly competitive research fields of stem cell biology and angiogenesis, and aim to unveil novel molecular and (epi)genetic insights into outstanding questions, with the potential translation to clinical medicine. We further offer a vibrant working atmosphere in a young and enthousiastic but very ambitious Unit, which is embedded in a young and international but worldwide recognized Research Department. Research towards a PhD degree consists of one or more original scientific contributions published in peer-reviewed international journals. You will participate in all research-related activities (unit meetings, weekly lab-meetings, weekly in-house seminars, invited seminars or lectures within the Department). In addition, you shall comply with the PhD Training program, as determined by the Goethe University Frankfurt. Moreover, all members of the Unit are greatly encouraged to attend and/or present at (inter)national meetings.

Candidates should have an excellent command of English, good team working skills, the willingness to work hard and invest in themselves and, most importantly, passion.
