The Drug Research Doctoral Programme (DRDP) covers diverse areas in drug research. A doctoral student must hold a Master’s degree or be accepted to pursue a Licentiate of Medicine or Licentiate of Dentistry degree in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Helsinki. Doctoral student requirements include good basic knowledge as well as a research proposal and study plan. The suitability and ability of the candidate to pursue postgraduate studies successfully are also evaluated. Doctoral students who have already started their doctoral training are also suitable to apply.
The duties of a doctoral student are to work on his or her own doctoral thesis and to complete his or her postgraduate studies. The duties also include teaching and other tasks. Fluent English language skills are required.

What does it cover? The University of Helsinki offers a salary dependent on qualifications and work experience. The salary will be based on levels 2–4 of the job requirement scheme for teaching and research personnel in the salary system of Finnish universities. 3) CV including a list of publications (max 3 pages),
4) University degree certificates, and, for appointees from outside University of Helsinki, a copy of the highest Academic degree certificate
5) Written statement by the supervisor(s) about the appointee, content of the Doctoral degree, research project of the thesis and prerequisites of the research (max 2 pages).
