Scholarship Description: Research grants from the Chiropractic & Osteopathic College of Australasia Research Limited (COCA Research Ltd) are for researchers working on new or established clinical research projects in a specific area of chiropractic, osteopathy or related research. The purpose of COCA Research Ltd research grants is to advance research in defined areas of chiropractic and osteopathic practice. Applications are considered on the basis of scientific merit.

Value and Duration: It is expected that successful COCA Research Ltd Scholarship recipients will apply for a Scholarship from nationally competitive sources (for example, APA, NHMRC) in the first year of their Scholarship program. If the applicant is successful in receiving a nationally competitive Scholarship, the full COCA Research Ltd Scholarship will cease but COCA Research Ltd will offer a top-up of $5000/year. If the applicant applies for the COCA Research Ltd Scholarship when they are already a recipient of a nationally competitive Scholarship (e.g. APA, NHMRC) they may apply for a top-up of $5,000/year, however this will only be available if a full Scholarship is not awarded to another recipient in the same year. The Scholarship is for three years (full time studies) or six years (part time studies), subject to the applicant meeting the expected research and education requirements. This Scholarship will be paid to the recipient’s Administering Institution in quarterly instalments.
