To be considered for this award, applicants must: Be a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Canada Have applied through UCAS by Wednesday, 30 June 2012 and been offered a place to study on the Law LLB Honours degree for 2012/13 entry Have already accepted or will accept Newcastle University as their first choice university with UCAS Have been assessed as international (overseas) for fees purposes Not be in receipt of any other fully-funded or partially-funded scholarship or sponsorship Have already achieved or will achieve a minimum academic average of 85% in the Grade 12 Certificates or Diplomas awarded by provinces on the completion of secondary school, in no fewer than six Grade 12 courses.

Scholarship Description: The NU Law Scholarship is a merit-based award intended for Canadian undergraduate students who will study for the Law LLB Honours degree (UCAS code: M101) at Newcastle University, commencing their studies in September 2012. This partial tuition fee scholarship has a value of £6,000 across three years of study. The chosen recipient will be awarded a partial tuition fee scholarship of £2,000 in Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 of the programme. Eligible applicants will be considered based on the information given on their UCAS application form and the scholarship application form (process detailed below).
