-Be a postgraduate student, either full-time or part-time, of any discipline for the academic year 2012/13;
-Possess some years of work experience and with a passion to make a difference to the community;
-Submit a typed essay within 1,000 words on Asia Pacific region and leadership; and
-Fulfill the eligibility requirements of and be admitted to Fall 2013 Asia Pacific Leadership Program offered by East West Center.

Scholarship Description: To groom future leaders who have a passion to make a difference to the community, Paul M F Cheng East West Center Leadership Scholarship is offered to a postgraduate student for pursuing the prestigious Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) offered by the East West Center (EWC), Honolulu, Hawaii. The Scholarship is open to postgraduate students from all Faculties for application.The Scholarship is up to HK$200,000, to be awarded in two instalments of HK$100,000 each. The first instalment will be disbursed to support the awardee to pursue APLP at EWC as well as the field trips in the United States and China from August to December 2013. If the awardee decides to take up an internship in a developing country after completing APLP and the field trips, the second instalment will be disbursed to the awardee for supporting the internship from December 2013 to May 2014.
