Scholarship Description: The Franco – Thai Scholarship program is directed to Thai students who are willing to study in French universities or Higher Education Institutions, at Master’s degree or PhD levelThis program is based on a selective call for candidates in order to emphasize high level exchanges between France and Thailand. The Franco – Thai Scholarship Program aims at developing and reinforcing relationships between Thai and French Higher Education Institutions. Two kinds of scholarships can be granted by the Franco-Thai Scholarship Program:
-Social Protection Scholarship or “Bourse de Couverture Sociale” gives access to a specific status which enables candidates to benefit from social protection in France and other specific advantages (priority given on accommodation, exemption of tuition fees for some public higher education institutions’ program,…). The “Bourse de Couverture Sociale” can only be granted if a cost-sharing agreement insures a monthly allowance to the scholar.
-Full scholarship: In addition to the “Bourse de Couverture Sociale”, full scholarship includes a monthly allowance to cope with living expenses in France and possibly a plane ticket for a round trip to France.

Duration of award(s): For Master’s degrees, the scholarship will usually be granted for 10 months (2nd year of Master’s degree). For PhDs, the scholarship will be granted for a maximum of 3 years. However, at the end of each academic year, the recipient will have to justify the progress of his/her project and/or thesis in order to be able to renew his/her grant every year.

What does it cover? The scholarship provides a monthly allowance to pursue studies in France. It also includes social protection coverage for the whole stay in France, exemption of tuition fees, priority for student housing and a possible round trip to France. The monthly allowance granted is of 767 Euros per month.

Selection Criteria: Every criterion (excellence of the candidate, quality of the study plan, motivation of the candidate, level of proficiency in foreign languages) is decisive.

Notification: The final list of recipients will be published in Mid-April 2014.

How to Apply: The complete scholarship application file must be submitted online only.
