2013/2014 ASEAN Graduate Students Exchange Program at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand

The Faculty of Political Science at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand is offering ASEAN Graduate Students Exchange Program (ASEAN-GSEP) for graduate students who are interested to pursue Master of Arts in International Development Studies (MAIDS) program. The students from ASEAN countries (Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, and The Philippines) except Thailand can apply for this program. The application deadline is 15th March 2013.

Eligibility: -Applicants must be an active graduate student who is enrolled in a two year program at an accredited university in an ASEAN country except Thailand.
-Applicants must be a citizen of an ASEAN member country.
-All ASEAN students studying in Thailand are ineligible to apply.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The students from 9 ASEAN countries (Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, The Philippines) can apply for the scholarship.

Scholarship Description: ASEAN Graduate Exchange Program (ASEAN-GSEP) is a 4-months exchange program offered by Chulalongkorn UniversityFaculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University for graduate students from 9 ASEAN countries (Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, The Philippines) who are interested to join the program in Master of Arts in International Development Studies (MAIDS). An exchange student can take up to 9 credits (3 Subjects). Accepted applicants can choose to start the program in October 2013 to January 2014 or February 2014 to May 2014.

What does it cover? The scholarships include:
-Tuition and fees waiver
-Round-Trip Economic Class Flight
-Monthly Stipend and Accommodation (16,000 THB)
-Credit transfer to the home university
-Letter of acknowledgment from the program
-Part-time Internship in one of Research Institutes/Study Centers in Chulalongkorn University.

How to apply: The applicants must submit their application and following supporting documents by post.
-Application Form (A + B),
-Statement of purpose,
-Official transcript with latest GPAX,
-One 1-inch photograph (face shot with no hat, sunglasses, or computer editing),
-Letter of Recommendation from the program of the home university,
-English Proficiency: TOEFL score minimum 550, IELTS score 6 or CU-TEP score 550 (Scores must be less than 2 years old based on the date of application).

Scholarship Application Deadline: The deadline for application submission is March 15, 2013 to start the program in October 2013 to January 2014 or February 2014 to May 2014.
