Scholarship Description: The post-doctoral position is aimed at developing a new research activity that has its base in theoretical studies of NEMS. The precise research topic will be decided based on the interests and experiences of the post-doc, but possible areas include quantum nanoelectromechanics of graphene membranes, nanooptoelectromechanics, and classical and quantum noise in NEMS.
The position is funded for 2 years from a strategic grant from the Swedish government on nano-science and nanotechnology, and the planned activities are closely connected to several ongoing projects such as the European projects QNEMS (quantum NEMS) and RODIN (tunable graphene resonators). The position carries a competitive salary including Swedish social benefits, and a research budget for travel costs and other expenses. Funding is available from January 1, 2011, and the position must be entered before December, 2011.The construction of the employment is 1 year whit a possible prolongations for another year.
