Afresist Youth Leadership Program (AYLP) for African, 2019

Applications are open for the Afresist Youth Leadership Program (AYLP) 2019 created by activists of Afrika Youth Movement (AYM). This program is open to Africans residing in Africa who are 18-25 years old at the time of submitting the application.

The leadership program is designed to support and train youth who are interested in activism as well as those who are discovering their place and role in society.

Afresist is a multimedia platform rooted in the values of Pan-Africanism, using technology for the co-creation of alternative models, training, convening and empowering African youth and documenting their work, experiences, and movements across the African continent and beyond.

Scholarship Description:

  • Course Level: The scholarship is open to pursuing a degree level program.
  • Study Subject: The scholarship will be awarded in all subjects.
  • Scholarship Award: The program covers:
    • Full and partial scholarships will be provided to selected applicants.
    • Full scholarship includes travel, accommodation and program registration.
    • The partial scholarship includes accommodation and program registration.
    • Program materials which include African movies, literature, art, case studies
    • Certificate of becoming an “Afresist Leader” after completion of the full program
  • Nationality: Africans residing in Africa are eligible to apply.

    • Africans residing in Africa
    • 18-25 years old at the time of submitting the application
    • Have good proficiency in English
    • Have a genuine interest in personal growth and self-empowerment
    • Be aspiring or young leaders in their communities
