Africa Check, the continent’s first independent non-profit fact-checking agency, was founded in South Africa in 2012 with the help of philanthropic organizations and individual benefactors. This team has discredited inflammatory assertions about the amount of foreign people in the country, as well as discovered inaccuracies in national crime data.

Why should you go for this program? This award program provides an excellent chance for African journalists, journalism students, and professional fact-checkers to demonstrate their abilities and contributions to accurate and accountable journalism.
