Alvin Li-Shen Chua Memorial Scholarship is now open for the academic session 2024/2025. The award is offered by the Department of Physics at Imperial College London.

There is one scholarship available for a student studying the full-time MRes in Machine Learning and Big Data in the Physical Sciences in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Natural Sciences. The scholarship is available to students with either a Home or Overseas fee status.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship is available for the full-time MRes in Machine Learning and Big Data in the Physical Sciences in the Department of Physics.
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must have received an offer to study the MRes program and must be available to commence their academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in October 2024.

How to Apply

Prospective students must submit a College application form for the MRes program in Machine Learning and Big Data in the Physical Sciences and have an offer of admission by the application deadline of 24 May 2024. The Department of Physics will assess applicants based on academic merit and/or potential.

Benefits

The successful scholar will receive a cash bursary of £7,500 to be applied towards tuition fees. The award is for a maximum duration of one academic year and cannot be used for repeat periods of study. Successful candidates will be notified by email no later than 31 July 2024.
