Applications are invited for undergraduate scholarships available for Thai university students during their second, third and fourth years of undergraduate study. Up to 200 scholarships are awarded for 2014/2015 academic year. In addition to financial support, ATCF sponsors a three-day career planning seminar in Bangkok to introduce students to AMCHAM member companies through a variety of activities including facility visits, career planning sessions, resume writing and mock interviews.

Scholarship Description: For many years the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) has supported bright and needy university students during their second, third and fourth years of study. In 2013, 180 scholarships were awarded. This year, the AMCHAM Thailand Charitable Foundation (ATCF), will increase the number of scholarships to students of selected public universities throughout the country to 200. Application is open to student studying in the following faculties and departments: Engineering, Sciences, Technology, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management Science, Economics, Commerce & Accountancy, Education, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health Sciences.

What does it cover? In addition to financial support, ATCF sponsors a three-day career planning seminar in Bangkok to introduce students to AMCHAM member companies through a variety of activities including facility visits, career planning sessions, resume writing and mock interviews. During this program, they arrange two visit to Bangkok. The first will be a two day orientation workshop for all students receiving the scholarship for the first year. The second is for the graduating AMCHAM Scholarship Students who will meet with the AMCHAM Board of Governors and other members, visit members’ companies, and have an opportunity to participate in job interviews to prepare students to enter the business world. All new and graduating students are expected to participate in these events and the scholarship funds provided include travel costs for attending this function.
