New Scholarship Opportunities In The Field Of Aviation

The aviation industry is set to open its door through various scholarships and funding opportunities for the aspiring students. The industry will take measures to train and educate deserving candidates who can excel in the field of aviation.

The scholarships that have opened up for the desirous students are from various level players in the field of aviation. Women in Aviation, International women internationalwill process 80 scholarships with a scholarship amount of $450,000 which includes opportunities like AOPA Student Pilot Scholarships, the Yukiko Howell Memorial S.T.E.M. Scholarship, the Dare to Dream Scholarship, and the Keep Flying Scholarship.  Desirous candidates are required to be enrolled as a member of the Women in Aviation, International by Nov. 1, and the deadline to apply is Nov. 17.

The Harrison Ford Scholarship seeks application from the candidates who have the passion to chase their dreams. The award includes study EAAopportunity at EAA Air Academy, flight training and tuition fees. Angela and Jim Thompson’s contribution have made the scholarship possible to meet the growing requirement of the young aspirants. The deadline for applying the scholarship is December 31.

Another aviation genius, Helicopter Foundation International (HFI) has extended its arms to those who wish to join as commercial pilots and 3maintenance technicians. Under its banner, HFI shall accept application for 2015 Bill Sanderson Aviation Maintenance Technician Scholarships and Michelle North Scholarship for Safety.  The deadline for Bill Sanderson Aviation Maintenance Scholarship is November 30, 2014 that includes eight scholarships with an approximate amount of $1,600. The Michelle North Scholarship for safety includes one scholarship and its deadline is November 30, 2014.   The Commercial Helicopter Rating Scholarship shall open on September 1, 2014 and will close on November 30, 2014. It includes four scholarship with an amount of $5000 each.  The Maintenance Technician Certificate Scholarship includes six scholarships with an amount of $2,500 each. Its deadline is November 30, 2014.

The National Business Aviation Association has rolled out its Eddie Queen Business Aviation Management Scholarship that includes an amount of 4$2500 each to an undergrad who has passion for aviation and is enrolled officially in an aviation management program in a member school under the University Aviation Association. The scholarships will be instituted for the academic year 2014-15. Only US5 citizens or permanent residents will be considered for this opportunity. The application deadline is August 22, 2014.

Zonta International shall offer its annual scholarship known as the Amelia Earhart Fellowship for the deserving women candidates who are pursuing their PhD in aerospace engineering and sciences. The fellowship amount consists of US$ 10,000 and shall be awarded to 35 candidates around the world. The application deadline is November 15. All the candidates shall be notified about their applications status by the end of April 2015.
