The SSHRC Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships program aims to attract and retain world-class doctoral students by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities as well as leadership skills. Both Canadian and international students are eligible for nomination for a Vanier CGS.
This program, together with the Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship: Master’s and Doctoral, the SSHRC Doctoral Fellowships and the SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowships programs, help train Canada’s future leaders.
The three federal granting agencies (SSHRC, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and Canadian Institutes of Health Research), are committed to working together over the course of the next year to bring a harmonized perspective to this program.

This has the aim of to scale-up the ongoing capacity building and institutional transformation efforts in the priority areas. The developmental objective of PSCAP to improve the scale, efficiency, and responsiveness of public service delivery at the federal, regional, and local level; to empower citizens to participate more effectively in shaping their own development; and to promote good governance and accountability.
Since the “state transformation” agenda came in to the picture in the national politics in early 1990’s, institutional capacity had been identified as main bottleneck of the fruitfulness of the national long term developmental efforts. The main futures of capacity building are human resource; system and institutional structure. Out of these major issues in the capacity building, human resource is the central issue. The issue of human resources means not only in terms of quality but also in terms of quantity (number). Thus, the skill and educational background are essential too.
So, I want to continue my educational career to master degree level in order to contribute my best the achievements for my organization objective and vision in particular and in large to put my hands in the effort of poverty reduction and to ensure the sustainable socio-economic development by implementing the designed capacity building program at national, federal and local level. There is no doubt that the above activity needs an update knowledge and educational background of program and project management and evaluation. I have dream to be an economist and to participate efficiently in the struggle of poverty reduction in my country as well to least developing countries. Apart from other factors that inhibit the developing activities of LDC’s have no fruits, lack of capacity has a lion share. The term capacity means human resource, working system and institutional arrangements. Human resource is a key resource of development especially the educational human resource.
