To be eligible for the PhD Studentships at the Institute for Astronomy (IfA), applicants must hold, or expect to obtain, a degree in physics, astronomy, or a closely related field. For the Career Development Scholarship (2026), applicants must identify as being of Black heritage, including mixed Black backgrounds.
