Courageous Persuaders harnesses peer pressure and youthful exuberance by inviting high school students to join in a creative and entertaining competition to make a TV commercial about the dangers of alcohol.

Courageous Persuaders is about replacing negative, dangerous images from movies, commercials and television, which portrays drinking as “cool” with positive images that emphasize the dangers of underage and binge drinking. Courageous Persuaders provides high school students a unique opportunity to win a scholarship and be a hero.

In Courageous Persuaders, high school students create television commercials targeted at middle school students to warn them about the dangers of alcohol use. Students compete for scholarship money and trophies. The grand prize-winning commercial actually airs on TV as a public service announcement.

Eligibility: High school students attending a United States High School can participate

How to Apply

It’s easy to enter, just go to our website www.courageouspersuaders.com students can fill out entry forms on-line and upload their completed commercials. They may also mail a copy of their PSA in either VHS or DVD format. We offer helpful hints; a royalty-free music library and tips from the experts and a complete list of the competition rules, all on the website.
