Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: International students (must be residing in Australia)
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for research in the mechanical transmission of pathogens by mosquitoes.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Hold first or upper second-class honours or equivalent in a relevant research area.
    • Be admitted to an Australian University as a PhD student.
    • Have an appropriate visa to study in Australia (for international applicants).
    • Be no further than one year (FTE) into their PhD.
    • Hold a primary scholarship (e.g., RTP scholarship or equivalent).
    • Not be in receipt of any other Top-Up Scholarship.
    • Have a university supervisor willing to collaborate with a CSIRO supervisor.
    • Be available to commence with CSIRO by 30 June 2025.
    • Obtain and provide a National Police Check.
    • Meet ACDP’s microbiological and security assessment requirements.
