China University of Mining and Technology is awarding scholarship for international students to cover all or part of tuition fees, housing, health insurance and living costs. Scholarships are available for pursuing bachelor, masters and doctoral degree program at China University.
This scholarship aims to support those outstanding students who are accepted by CUMT to degree programs but do not meet the HSK requirements.

It is also listed in the national “211 Project” and “985 Innovation Platform for Advantageous Disciplines”, which is a government program designed to support and develop top institutions of higher education in China.

Scholarship Award: CUMT set up a scholarship of RMB 5 million per year for international students who intend to study at CUMT to cover all or part of tuition fees, housing, health insurance and living costs. There are two categories:
Class A: 10,000 RMB per year for Chinese Language student, 20,000 RMB per year for Bachelor student, 22,000 RMB for Master student and 24,000 RMB for Doctoral student.
Class B: 8,000 RMB per year for Chinese Language student and Bachelor students, 9,000 RMB for Master student and 10,000 RMB for Doctoral student.

Eligibility:
-Prospective students of non-Chinese nationality who wish to pursue degree programs at CUMT.
-Applicants should meet the general admission criteria for international students.
-Applicants’ academic grade point average should reach above 75 out of 100.
-Two recommendation letters from their academic teachers /professors or employers.
-Applicants should observe the laws of China as well as the rules and regulations of CUMT.
Nationality: International students can apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Undergraduate Admission Requirements- To be admitted to an undergraduate program, the prospective applicants should have a high school diploma or the equivalent. Applicant should successfully pass the HSK Level 4 or above.
Graduate Admission Requirements- The applicants who intend to apply for graduate programs should have a bachelor degree or above. They should submit curriculum vitae, personal statement, letters of recommendation (two for master’s program, three for PhD program). Applying for master’s program, they should successfully pass the HSK Level 5 or above, for PhD program, they should successfully pass the HSK Level 6 or above. Students, who pursue degree programs, do not meet the University’s Chinese proficiency requirements may apply for conditional admission. Conditionally admitted students should attend the Preparatory Chinese Language Program (PCLP) at the CUMT Campus where they will complete the courses for two semesters. Once they have successfully completed the PCLP and meet the HSK requirements, they can proceed with their degree program. Students who are expecting their diploma or degree need to provide the evidence of registration certification, and a final academic transcript as soon as it is available. Applicants should provide the copy of the certificate of diploma or degree before the enrollment at CUMT.
Non-degree Program Admission Requirements- The requirements for Chinese Language Programs or 1) preparatory Chinese language or 2) short term Chinese language program vary and flexible. The applicants submit an application form and related materials according to the checklist.

-Apply for Doctor Degree: bachelor and master academic transcripts, a copy of master degree certificate, two recommendations letters, other academic award certificates, and achievements.
Note: All the academic transcripts mentioned above has to be original official in Chinese or English. Materials in languages other than Chinese or English shall be notarized in Chinese or English.
