Applications are open for DAAD Regional Scholarship Programme to pursue M.Tech and Ph.D. at IIT Bombay in India. The program is exclusively open for the nationals of Bangladesh and Nepal.

The aim of the education is to give an opportunity to students from Bangladesh and Nepal to pursue Master and Ph.D. studies at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.

The German Academic Exchange Service or DAAD is the largest German support organization in the field of international academic co-operation.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Very well qualified graduates (4 years Bachelors) from Bangladesh and Nepal
  • Very well qualified postgraduates from Bangladesh and Nepal.
  • This is available to pursue master and Ph.D. program.
  • Bangladeshi and Nepali applicants are eligible for the free study.

  • How to Apply: Applicants can apply through the online processor.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet the following requirements: Master- Graduates (4-year-Bachelor degree holders) can apply for a Master’s degree, PhD- Post-graduates (Master degree holders) can apply for a PhD program.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must be fluent in English.

Benefit

The scholarship will cover the followings:

Master

  • A stipend of € 260 per month
  • Annual Study and research subsidy
  • Final thesis subsidy
  • Admission and tuition fees
  • Compulsory health insurance
  • Travel allowance toward return airfare from home country to India

PhD

  • A stipend of € 400 per month
  • Annual Study and research subsidy
  • Final thesis subsidy
  • Admission and tuition fees
  • Travel allowance toward return airfare from home country to India
  • Travel allowance toward return airfare from India to Germany
  • The stipend of 1000 € during the research period in Germany (6 months)
  • Compulsory health insurance in India and Germany
