Deakin University is pleased to announce the Dawn Wade Foundation Scholarships for outstanding students. The study program is designed for the academic session 2025/2026.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens (or hold permanent residency or a humanitarian visa), have completed Year 12 at an underrepresented Australian public school in 2025, and be starting a full-time undergraduate degree at Deakin’s Waurn Ponds or Waterfront campus in 2026.

Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
• Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
• Complete Year 12 at an under-represented Australian public school in 2025
• Be commencing a bachelor’s degree at Deakin University in Trimester/Semester 1, 2026
• Be enrolled full-time in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP)
• Be enrolled at either the Waurn Ponds or Waterfront campus
• Live within the City of Greater Geelong or be relocating from a rural/regional home
• Be experiencing financial or other personal hardship
• Not hold any other Deakin scholarship concurrently.
How to Apply

If you have submitted a SEAS and scholarship application through VTAC, you will automatically be considered—no additional application is needed.

Benefits
The scholarship provides a total value of up to AUD 25,268 per year, including:

Living allowance: Up to AUD 9,500 per year (includes AUD 500 cash payments in Week 1 of Trimester 1 & 2, plus up to AUD 4,250 after census each trimester)

Accommodation allowance: Up to AUD 15,000 per year for students living on campus at Waurn Ponds or Waterfront

Duration: 3 or 4 years, depending on the full-time duration of the course
