Education New Zealand is pleased to inform students that the Prime Minister’s Scholarships for Asia and Latin America are now open for applying for the academic year 2023-2024.

This scholarship is funded by the New Zealand government and administered by Education New Zealand. New Zealand national students are offered this scholarship application. Applications for this scholarship programme can be made in groups, i.e., educational organizations can apply for a programme on behalf of a group of students. Selected candidates will be awarded this scholarship.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: New Zealand
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Applicants can apply for a study programme in an institute in Asia and Latin America.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be New Zealand citizens or hold a New Zealand Permanent Resident Visa.
  • The applicants must be ordinarily resident in New Zealand and have resided in New Zealand for at least 12 of the past 24 months.
  • The applicants must not have been previously awarded a Prime Minister’s Group Scholarship (to either Asia or Latin America).
  • The applicants must be medically fit to travel
  • The applicants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
  • The applicants must be able to attend the full duration of your proposed overseas programme.
  • The applicants must be eligible for an entry Visa into their host nation(s).
  • The applicants must be at least 18 years old.

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: Students must apply for admission via their respective university’s application process. To apply for the scholarship, students must complete the scholarship application form.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to provide academic documents such as degree certificates, transcripts, essays, motivational letters, and other university-specific documents.
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must meet the course-specific and entry requirements of the university if any.
  • Language Requirement: The students must meet the language requirements of their respective universities. TOEFL, IELTS, CAE/CPE, PTE, etc are widely accepted across Asia and Latin America.
