The British Council India has established Scholarships for English Teachers. These scholarships are offered for the academic year 2022-2023.

British Council India has decided to offer these scholarships to individuals working in or with the government schools sector, who have not previously received a scholarship to study at a UK university. The scholarship is entitled to cover IELTS exam costs, Tuition fees, Stipend for living expenses while in the UK, Flights and connecting travel to the UK, and Visa costs and insurance of the selected candidates.

The British Council is the United Kingdom’s international organization for educational opportunities and cultural relations. The iconic building in New Delhi was designed by renowned architect Charles Correa and was opened in 1993 and is recognized across India for its network of three libraries and cultural centers.

With Teaching Centres in Chennai, Kolkata, and New Delhi, it also provides a range of general and business English courses, specialized skills-based programmes, and courses for young learners. The council works with a wide range of Indian partners in cities all over India enabling British and Indian experts to meet and collaborate and nurture mutually beneficial relationships.

Application Deadline: The application deadlines for the University of Leeds and the University of Stirling are 1^st May 2022 and 17^th June 2022 respectively.

• Eligible Countries: India
