ETS TOEFL Scholarships Program for Indian Students, 2016

Educational Testing Service (ETS) is awarding TOEFL scholarships program for Indian students. These scholarships are open to any student who starts an undergraduate or graduate degree program between June 2016 and May 2017 at a college or university listed in the TOEFL Destination Search.

These scholarships aim to provide educational assistance and opportunities to students worldwide to help them achieve their academic goals.

The TOEFL® Program supports an array of scholarships, educational initiatives and community programs in countries around the world.

Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in all subjects.

Scholarship Award: Fifteen scholarships valued at US$7,000 each. India scholarship funds will be disbursed to the winners’ universities in September 2016. Funds can be applied to academic expenses only and will be disbursed after the student has arrived on campus.

Scholarship can be taken in the India and Abroad

Eligibility: The competition is in two stages. To be eligible for these scholarships applicants must-

  • Reside in India
  • Start an undergraduate or graduate degree program between June 2016 and May 2017 at a college or university listed in the TOEFL Destination Search
  • Hold a grade point average of 80 or higher on a 100-point scale, or a 3.0-grade point average or higher on a 4-point scale
  • Demonstrate English proficiency with a valid TOEFL score
  • Complete the initial application by June 21, 2016

Nationality: TOEFL® Program is available for Indian students.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance/Test Requirement: Applicant must have their previous degree and for the specific requirement, the applicant must check the university in which he/she wants to apply.

English Language Requirement: Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.

How to Apply: Applicants should complete the initial application online. If selected as a semifinalist, they will be notified and will be required to submit additional information, which is due on July 14, 2016. Please use program key “TIndia” to access the TOEFL Scholarship application for India.
